I see some utau songs that have actual words in the notes, not just a single letter. How do you do that? or do people prerecord saying that word? or is there a way to combine letters and make it say a word?
It depends on the language and the reclist used for the VB.
Generally speaking, lyrics are not entered as whole words, but as phonemes. Typically phonemes come in pairs, aka diphones, but may come in other combinations as well. Eg, instead of inputting "love" as a word, it would be input as [l ah][ah v] or [lu][uv] or [lV][Vv] or something else entirely depending on what reclist is used.
If you can post a particular video of what you're talking about, someone might be able to tell you more specifically what's going on in that video
I've seen them too, I think they prerecord saying that word.
I had tried combining phonemes, not into a word though. I didn't have the "ts" sound in my voicebank, and I was too lazy to do recording again. So I made an new file, combined t, s, and a vowel, do it for all vowel, render them, and do the oto for that new file.
