Easiest way to convert to wav?

Alright.

So I recorded some sounds for my Voicebank on my iPhone, and I sent the files to my e-mail, but... the files are in an .AAC format.  Does anyone know how to convert them?

I also use my iPod to record sounds, & I must admit that converting them to wav format is quite tedious, especially with hundreds of sounds.

On my old bank, I used Audacity, & I sat there for about 2 hours opening up every sound and exporting it as a wav into a new folder. Nowadays, since I now have a Macbook, there's this application for Mac that I use called Music Converter Pro which'll convert multiple sounds to one format, usually in a matter of seconds.

So, basically, you could try to find a free downloadable equivalent to Music Converter Pro (which isn't free btw, it was like $10), use Audacity to convert them by hand, or find an online converter & sit there converting each file. Annoying, I know :/

Ummm, you can mass convert with Audacity actually. Go to File > Edit Chains, go to the bottom and click Add, name it whatever, then go to the bottom and click Insert, select Export WAV, save that Chain. Then go to File > Apply Chain and select your new chain, click Apply to Files and then select all the files you want to effect. It takes a while, but it'll get done without you having to really touch it. It's best to do when you have most of the stuff recorded and in one location.

I got your message, but it seems that others  beat me to it ;;

I'd say go with what Shinami suggested.

I tried to convert with Audacity before, but it just didn't let me;
In the end I converted all of the sounds by hand (It was CV VC, so it didn't take me forever) through an online converter a friend just linked me to.

But still, thank you all!

If you can play it on your computer, you can save it in audacity.
Edit>Preferences>
Recording device should be set to Stereo Mix

Press record play your video, and save the file as a wav.
