i just migrated from UTAU to open utau, both programs seem to have this problem for me, i notice that on UTAU and OPENUTAU some words of the hiragana table lets out a really high pitched noise before saying the character, on OPEN UTAU it's on the だ character, i don't know if you'll hear it but i played the だ hiragana over and over so that i could point it out somewhat
