How much has your UTAU changed over the years?

Awe man I have such a love-hate relationship with Eleanora's past!
Ever since her Vocatone/Vocatune parody came out a couple years ago, I cannot stand to listen to that cover.
I ruined the song so badly, I can't even listen to the original.
Here's what I'm talking about:

1. Why on earth did I think the twin-loop hair was cool? Yes it was original, but there was a reason it hadn't been done before.
2. CV English with no otos, recorded on a $5 mic, while I was in my "high pitched is better" phase. Enough said...

But let my UTAU's past at least provide you with some hope that utathings do get better!
I'm almost done otoing a Tetra-pitched English CV-VC bank based around the original list I made those 2 years ago.

Her Vocatone-ness is being toned back a bit going forward, but it's still there to some degree.
I don't think there's anything wrong in remembering your roots and what inspired you to begin with.
But with enough retrying and reinventing, you can always build upon whatever your UTAU used to be.

Well, I don't think my UTAU (Kaiserine Sympherianne) has improved so far. :/

  • ACT 1 (when she was named as Kaiserine Shirokurone): This voicebank was fully terrible. It does not only recorded with built-in laptop mic, but its configuration (otoing) was done in full mess and rushed. I deleted the voicebank shortly after I finished creating it. As for her design, I already forgot about how her clothes looked like.
  • ACT 2 (when she was still named as Kaiserine Shirokurone): This voicebank was also fully terrible. Its recording had slightly improved but the pronunciation was still terrible as it was recorded with built-in laptop mic and its configuration (otoing) was done in full mess and rushed. Like the ACT 1 voicebank, I deleted the voicebank shortly after I finished creating it. As for her design, I already forgot about how her clothes looked like.
  • ACT 3 (when she was still named as Kaiserine Shirokurone): This voicebank was in process. The voice data recording was done using a slightly better wireless mic but then lost altogether due to laptop damage. This has led to the creation of the new voicebank.
  • ACT 3 - REVIVAL: This voicebank was recreated from scratch shortly after the laptop was recovered. The voice data was recorded using the same wireless mic and then heavily edited on Wavepad, Adobe Audition (trial version) and Audacity. The voicebank, which contains both Japanese and non-Japanese voice data, was later configured with my minimal otoing skill. The voicebank name was later changed from "ACT 3 - REVIVAL" to "REVIVAL" only and released after the voicebank configuration was done. Even her name has been changed to "Kaiserine Sympherianne" and everything related to her (her profile, her outfit design, etc.) was fully revamped.
  • REVIVAL SE: Due to some reasons, her "REVIVAL" had gone in full re-configuration. Some problematic voice data had been carefully adjusted and the voicebank was re-otoed, with some voice data was given negative alias. Even her hair colour has been changed to snow white hair faded to ectoplasmic/bright green to make herself easily recognized among white-haired Malaysian UTAUloids. This voicebank was re-released under the name "REVIVAL SE" ("SE" means second edition) in December 17, 2013).
See? Most of her VB updates only involve the usage of CV recording technique. Maybe, in the future, she will receive either a VCV, CVVC or voicebank(s) in other languages as seen here...but it depends on the availability of high-quality mic/headset because I don't know how to get it online.
