How to make Maiko sound better?

Not asking for resamplers or anything like that but I would like to know how to make the notes flow more smoothly/less choppy like when transitioning from one note to the next. I especially have this issue when doing shorter notes. I wonder how producers like sheba can make Maiko sound so much more realistic. Tuning tips? I think that's what I'm looking for. Here's an example. https://youtu.be/x06eGe3o-uU

Choppiness is generally a problem with the oto. You could try editing the parameters of the notes that sound off?

Also make sure that you're clearing the note properties if it's a premade UST, and crossfading the notes before playing them.

I don't know how to re-oto asn Utau tbh. Thank you though.
