How to use MIDIs/MIDs in UTAU/audacity?

I have a karaoke of a song. and its a MID file. When I put it in Audacity, it makes NO noise. I do have a thing that converts, but the trial expired. WATDO :C

Well, from my past experience, if you put a MIDI file into UTAU, then it will show the notes, but you will have to manually add the syllables to each of the notes.  I haven't played with it too much, so I can't really help that well ^^;

Yeah UTAU does not play MIDI files like, say, WIDI or some other program. If the MIDI is the right type, however, you should get the individual notes when choosing the correct track (if the MIDI has multiple tracks) and, as redwolf said, you'll have to input the lyrics yourself.
