I want to buy Big Al. I have never actually owned a vocaloid before, so as you can see I don't even have the editor. I admit that I used the pirated version of vocaloid before, which was a bad idea. It seriously messed up my last computer so as you can imagine, I will never try that again.
Where should I start? I know that some people import V2's into the V3 editor. Should I buy Big Al and the V3 editor? I'm afraid to spend all that money and make a mistake by buying the wrong thing.
(Before this, download any VOCALOID legal trial to start knowing how this software works in case you didn't touch VOCALOID2 or VOCALOID3 before. There are no English VB trials uploaded atm but you can test some Japanese ones and MAIKA.)
First of all, ask yourself in which language will you use the bank: in English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese or Chinese. When you know that, see which voices do you like, get one character and its voice bank. And finally, check out in here on
how to get it.
Remember that VOCALOID wikia has some
info about VB Phonetic problems and Vocal traits (not just Big Al, all VOCALOID released) so you have an idea of the VB you want to buy.
(My recommendation is to start with a V3 Lite VB rather than buying a V2 VB + V3 editor, you can get your first VOCALOID for a relatively small price to start working with it. Then you can buy V3 editor to make that V3 VB work better and alternatively buy some V2 VB )
