Just a thought I had, but if Ameya ever updates UTAU, what features would you want added? Personally, I'd want a UI update and a track editor (like VOCALOID) so we wouldn't need multiple USTs for things like harmonies.

This is more of a hypothetical/for fun thing rather than a topic like that.http://utaforum.net/threads/we-need...-engine-development-before-its-too-late.12714
There is already a very long thread on this topic that you can look into if you're curious.
Other than using growl-specific voicebanks, or moresampler's growl flags, you can use strong vibrato with a very short cycle (10-20) to get a growling effect as well. That sounds like a great idea
I don't know if the current UTAU has the growl feature, does it? If not then I hope it could have that
There us also UtaGrowl which sits between the resampler and Utau

Hardcore is a guitar effects suite... Distortion or any of the other pedals available in it aren't growl.or you can mix in growls with fl using the hardcore plugin
no, but you can make it sound like it's growling. it's closer to like a death growl sound and not like a rikimi. it all depends on what sound you're going for since there's various types of growling.Hardcore is a guitar effects suite... I didnt understand the last part... What's BGM? (Sorry im only learning of the terminologies recently)inb4 a mod comes here to address derailing...
What I'd like to see is...
- Multitrack: implemented (more or less a beta feature?) in UTAU-Synth, not present in UTAU for Windows (there's a plugin to play multiple windows at the same time, but it's not the same as having everything in one interface).
- Lose the Rests: again, this is in UTAU-Synth. It would be nice to edit or create a UST within the program itself without Rests being a risk factor (timing being off, etc.)
- Ability to read Unicode scripts (non-Japanese and non-Cyrillic alphabets like Korean, Thai, etc. can be used, rather than inaccurate romanization)
- BGM import like other vocasynths: It's 2016 now. No reason why we should still be making midis in a 3rd party daw or rely on vsqx -> vsq before getting to use UTAU itself with the intended voice. It adds an extra step (and expense) to creative pursuits.
BGM is short for Background musicI didnt understand the last part... What's BGM? (Sorry im only learning of the terminologies recently)
BGM is short for Background music
I'll answer in PM to keep the thread from derailing.Yeaa it'd be great to have the BGM playing so that we dont have to use midi files or count stuff.
Oh btw this is off topic but what's your favorite Kpop band?
Whats the difference between Utau synth and the actual UTAU program? :\more "simpe&modern" looking interface to UTAU program itself (like in UTAU-Synth or similar).
I think that PC UTAU looks... pretty old-ish by looking. New look would make it look more fresh and nicer IMO.
And yeah... For UTAU-Synth: please Ameya, add FRQ fixings/editing ability incident for UTAU-Synth (=Mac UTAU) like in PC UTAU. We Synth users need this!
Also adding ability to people to create plug-ins specially for Synth would be great too + "resamplers" too? (I'm personally OK if PC UTAU's plugins doesn't work but allowing/giving ability to other users to officially make plug-ins for UTAU-Synth would be soooo great!!)
