male voicebanks becoming female on high notes

hi! I'm having a problem with male voicebanks - in songs originally sang by women, they're starting to sound way too feminine and it's not what I'm looking for. should I lower all the notes by 10 semitones or are there any ways to them sound normally?

Try lowering the notes by an octave (12 semitones, not 10).

If that's too low for the VB, it may be better to lower it by less than an octave, but keep in mind that if you move the notes by anything other than 12, you'll have to change the pitch of the instrumental to match. eg, if you lower the notes by 5, you'll also have to lower the instrumental by 5 semitones.
