NEW IDEA: Project Olympoid

Hey guys!
I've had this kind of big idea for a while; what if we made a series UTAUloids based on the Greek / Roman Olympian Deities?
I really love Greek mythology, so I think this will be so much fun!

Here are gods and goddesses I think we should cover: (feel free to add to the list!)

• Aphrodite
• Apollo
• Ares
• Artemis
• Athena
• Demeter
• Dionysus
• Hades
• Hephaestus
• Hera
• Hermes
• Hestia
• Persephone
• Poseidon
• Zeus

I have to say, I really really enjoy this idea. I would contribute a voice if I had any different voices I could do. I really really hope this plan goes through. Name of god/goddess: Any female, really, or androgynous voice. I can try a youthful male voice.
Sample of voice: ? I have this sung sample, but I can voice act different kinds of voices
Sample of UTAU: Daatura , my natural womanly sung-voice VB / Adrian , natural boyish sung voice
Extra notes: I only really have those two stronger womanly voices to show, but I can do something soft/cute/lighter in tone. Specially if it's CV, I can voice act something very different from those two samples. : )

It'd be really cool if these could be Greek-language voicebanks, I'd be more than down to voice for that, actually more willing to!

RE: Greek VBs, I'd love to help develop a simple CV compatible list for the project, if you'd like to collaborate on something like that!

I could try to upload on my box and link you (it's stilla major wip though as I need to tweak the encoding and such)

Oh haha, I too started doing research on pronouncing Greek and what kinds of phonemes appear in the language. It'd be super cool to see!

@MillyAqualine That's a great start! I think it's in a good format to record in CVVC if desired, too.
I can't quite speak for Ancient Greek, because I've been looking at modern Greek more, but CCV type phonemes exist- You've already included psV in the list so far, and then there's bra-bre-bri-bro-brou-bru, dra-dre-dri-dro-drou-dru, etc.

These consonant pairs are sure fire I know exist in the language. I am not quite sure if it exists for your equivalent of X as in Xra Xre Xri... etc., I saw it somewhere but I'm not sure if the pronunciation is turned into hard K when it appears. Also for ClV like the kla kle kli... etc. string, I'm sure they exist but I'm not sure for which other consonants.

So far I've really been consulting some Greek pop music and texts online, but it'd be great if a native speaker online somewhere dictate to us the trickier multi consonant phonemes that exist... EDIT: Then again, we can avoid all of that by simply recording separate consonants alone and otoing them and using them accordingly, I know it can work well if done right.

In any case, @TheWildVeRTiGo seemed to wanted to start with basic Japanese voicebanks, so that should definitely stand as an option if the Greek list is too much?

@Terindie You pose a good question! I'd like to know as well.

I've also started a WiP CV reclist for Classic/Ancient Latin and Ecclesiastic Latin (though this one too needs tweaking )
