It wasn't ever truly stated, and Sharpkey as well wasn't ever stated. It was fans mixing up meanings behind translations

ehh not too much..i downloaded MUTA and compared to the god awful metallic-ness clanging in NIAONIAO, MUTA is like miles better

There's high quality vb for NIAONiao, not all of them are disgusting, if you used a proper vb Like 栀子 her vb is one of the most high quality vb there is in NIAONiao, technically you need to try the software to the fullest to get the best out of it

I am clearly not sure since their isn't any update or news on the 3.0 ver

NiaoNiao is not fully dead, it is just not as worked on. Not all of the devs left for MUTA, but a good chunk of them did which slowed down development.
