oto'ing is confusing wth

I'm genuinely so confused. Can someone explain how to oto as if I'm a 5-yr old?? I'm not gonna give up but it's very tempting

In an OTO, you want to drag the offset setting to the start of the silence in a sound, and the cutoff to the end of the silence in the sound. Then, you want to drag the fixed/consonant setting to the end of the consonant, which appears more jagged or thinner compared to the smooth, loud vowel, and drag the preutterance there as well. Drag the overlap anywhere you want, as long as it is less than 1/3 of the way through the note.

If you want a simple but more in depth tutorial, I recommend using Kiyoteru's tutorial in the resources section.

it won't let me have like multiple cutoff's, overlaps, etc. I made it a CVVC one (I keep forgetting to mention that :') ) so I multiple in one recording I'm also using VLabeler

Have you used Moresampler to generate a base oto or used the base oto included with the reclist?

I tried Moresampler kinda but it won't open. I use OpenUtau so idk if that's why it won't work

What do you mean moresampler won't open? You're not supposed to open it, it's a resampler.
If you want to make an oto using it, you drag and drop the voicebank folder onto the .Exe.

A single recorded audio file can have multiple oto entries, which each have different parameters. If your reclist came with a base OTO, it's best to use that. You can also generate bases for VCV Japanese and CVVC Japanese voicebanks when you create a new project in vLabeler.
