Quick question about otoing

When otoing Y blends (kya, pyo, nya, etc) are you supposed to put the pre-utterance at the end of the first consonant (k, p, n, m, b, etc.) or it is supposed to be at the end of the Y?
I just started the otoing of my utau voicebank's re-recording with a better mic and I just wasn't sure. I want this round to be as good as I can get it.

Typically the preutterance should go at the end of the consonant with the [y] treated as part of the vowel.

You put the preutterance in between the end of the K and the start of the Y and use the fixed consonant to cover the rest of y and some of the a. That’s how I do it, anyway.

I started second-guessing things so I figured it would be easiest to just ask and I'm glad I did
