Ritsu's new voice hates me

Simply put, he won't sing. At all. And I don't understand why. This has happened with multiple VB's many time's before and it's almost always the Vipperloids, not sure it'll help my problem but it might be nice to know. I have the latest version of Utau. Is anybody else having this problem and any advice on how to fix it?

I don't have much to go on, but it could be a locale problem. That's my first impression, especially if it happens with vbs from Japan.

1. Does your UTAU program show hiragana correctly or is it just gibberish?
2. Look at the files in Ritsu's folder. Are they hiragana or gibberish?

Everything's showing up Hiragana.

(YES! xD I AM DETERMINED TO MAKE THE TALES SERIES KNOWN IN THE UTAU COMMUNITY >D)

Well a locale problem was my first impression because vippaloids, being from Japan, are all done in hiragana and as a result I couldn't use any of the vippaloids much like yourself until I changed my locale. But if you're sure that your locale is correctly set...then I don't really have any idea whats going on with your utau....hmm....

Have you tried deleting the cache of your ust? I think thats under project properties.

And when the black box goes through to load each sound when you do try to make him sing, does it actually show itself processing each sound or does it rush through the loading process going "File load error" (or something like that) with each sound?...

I didn't try deleting the cache yet. And yes it does show 'file load error'

Sorry for the late reply, I've been busy

"File load error" means one of two things:


The .ust is romaji but when it looks to find the romaji in Ritsu's folder it fails to find it...
(Also why didn't I mention this sooner but if you're using a romaji .ust that's why its not working. A lot of voicebanks from Japan aren't aliased to use romaji, just hiragana.)

Or the .ust is hiragana but it can't find Ritsu's hiragana. Probably because the voicebank was not unzipped correctly.

His folder should look like the one on the left. If it looks like the one on the right then we found the problem.
