Utau only able to use 1 phoneme per note

Hi! I finally managed to finish tuning all the samples I needed for my utau, loaded up vlabeler, and I was so happy when it played sound without crashing! Unfortunately though, it can only play sounds that use the same text as a sound file. This makes sense because otherwise it would be playing something that doesn't exist, but it can only play one named wav file per-note. I tried using some different EN, JP, and ES phonemizers to no avail. The VB is too large to link the zip file, but I have a recording showing this.

Also, sorry if this seems trivial. I'm very new to this and haven't seen much tutorials.
EDIT: just after posting this I saw I made a typo and called a voicebank a utau. I would fix this but, I can't change the title.

Edit 2: Right, i forgot media hosting sites were a thing. Here's the VB, it should work in openutau by installing through zip as usual

Edit 3: Also, any CV voicebank phoenemizers crash openutau. I think this is a CV voicebank.

Well, that's just how japanese voicebanks work. There is no error here nor way to change this to my knowledge.

I used an english reclist though? and all the tutorials I watched were for english VBs.

dam.
Other VB's can synthesize words from a string, so I assumed mine could do that I guess. Once again very sorry if this sounds trivial but how do those vb's do it then?
Thanks :uhuhu:

English voicebanks have that ability via English phonemizers as well as many other language voicebanks. AI voicebanks such as DiffSinger are able to as well. You might have also confused vcv or cvvc style voicebanks as able to do so.

Wait, I thought you said this was cv? You did an English cv voicebank? Well that explains it, I don't think OpenUTAU even has support for English CV. I've never even heard of it existing.
