When i do breaths they sound tuned (as in they have a tone)

e.g I place a br1 note on A4 it sounds like a weird sound (tuned breath or autotune i guess.)

It's because anything placed on the piano roll is going to be rendered by the resampler; it's not going to distinguished breaths from other samples. It's better to add standalone breaths directly from their audio files during mixing rather than putting them on the UST for this reason.

There are some resamplers that will render notes without pitch-shifting them (tn_fnds with a W-1 flag, for example), but it's not very practical to use that just for putting breaths in a UST.
