How do I add breaths with hiragana?

I genuinely cannot figure out how to add breaths. Do I need to use - or do I need to type in a specific character? I'm just so lost because I don't know if there are like prerecorded breath sounds in voicebanks as well. If so, how would I add them?

The alias for breaths varies from voicebank to voicebank. Here are some common aliases with "a" as a previous note:
[a R]
[a hh]
[a 息] (kanji is typed as iki)

The [a R] alias is also used sometimes for a natural fade out.

People might include the information in the readme.txt file. another way to figure out what alias is being used is looking at the oto.ini if it isnt too large.

Would I add this as a separate note or to the end of a note?
Edit: Nevermind, I got it. Thank you!
