(context: I'm still trying to figure out why some of my voicebanks don't work in utau-synth. I am trying to understand what the individual parts of a voicebank do so I can better diagnose where problems are occurring)

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could either explain to me or link me to an explanation of what these two files (prefix.map and presamp.ini) do in terms of their functions in making the app be able to use a voicebank . thanks

prefix.map is a file that tells the program what suffixes in said voicebank should be automatically applied to which notes. Its commonly use for multipitch banks so the user doesn't have to manually add the suffixes to every note.

I think presamp.ini is a setting file that presamp reads. It tell it how to handle CVVC sounds. presamp is often used for CVVC voicebanks as it automatically uses both CV and VC in the ust without having to edit it. Teto english comes with a presamp.ini file that works for her english, so it isnt exclusive to jp banks.
