I know there multiple tutorials and such but theyre so confusing, plus my utau doesnt have a download folder for some reason? I already have all the voice recordings, so is there another way to make a voice bank?

Yes!

There are several ways to create an oto, but for simplicity sake, check out this awesome Utaforum resource post.

Utau comes with Defoko, and her oto can be copied into the folder with your recordings, opened, and the wiped clean for a fresh start if that's what you're needing.
(from my understanding of your post, you're a bit confused about either the actual file's existence, and/or the actual process, both of which are totally valid!)

Depending on your recording style, otoing can be very quick, do you know what kind of bank you recorded, or at least what reclist you used?

If you don't want to oto your bank by hand, there are also many users on this site who offer commissions, trades, or heck even requests (me!), BUT there are also tools to help make the process faster.

Software/resampler packages like Moresampler can generate oto.ini files from a selected list of styles supported by the software.
(I believe setparam can as well, but I've never been fond of it, so don't take my word there lol)

For what it's worth, that's unnecessary and may cause issues-- an oto.ini is generated for new files whenever one is detected loading a voicebank, so there will always be a blank one with all your .wavs if you're using regular UTAU!

Your UTAU wouldn't have a download folder presumably because you recorded it yourself. You need to make a new folder wherever you want to back up the UTAU and put all the vocal files inside it, then make or copy a character.txt into the folder and load it in UTAU to generate an oto.ini. It's probably easier to look up a tutorial for each step rather than trying to follow a longer tutorial for this, I think most people find it hard to explain well as a whole.

So you're looking for the rest of utau's folders? (see image:smile:

This is where my version of UTAU installed by default.

Utau in it's standard form doesn't have a "downloads" folder, so I'm a little confused on what you mean by that.

OpenUtau requires you to install banks using the .zip/.rar (etc) files and it puts it into the "singers" folder, UTAU (regular ver.) does not have this functionality, instead, you open UTAU, then hit "Project" -> "Project Property"
and this window opens:

From here, the "..." button is where you'd select the exported files from OREMO in their folder (i.e. a.wav inside the folder with the rest of the recordings)

After that, navigate to the Tools window, and open up "Voice Configurations" :

This is where your utau's oto (in whatever state) is!
Going off of what @Halo said, it will generate one for you with no offset, consonant, cutoff, preutterance, or overlap data present.

I hope this is helpful, if not feel free to shoot me a dm!~
