Questions before buying vocaloid n stuff

So ill say im gonna buy VOCALOID off the official vocaloid.com website and miku off of SONICWIRE

Heres my questions:

Do i need to make an account on either the vocaloid or the sonicwire website to purchase the things?

if i need to make an account on sonicwire, do i need to make an account on crypton future media's website too?

On sonicwire, all the prices are in yen, if i use an american credit card with USD in it, will it be converted?

Just to make sure, Hatsune Miku V4x comes with a daw? i heard vocaloid requires a DAW for something to work (i could be wrong), but i didnt know if vocaloid came with one or if it required the voicebanks to come with one. Asking because i wanna save space on my laptop

If vocaloid comes with a DAW (maybe the same one as the one bundled with Hatsune Miku V4x) is there a way to download the Miku V4x without the DAW? like deleting it or something, or purchasing just the voiebank and not the DAW with a discount (or vise versa)?

If i buy a new computer in the future, how would i go about transferring all the vocaloid files to my new device?

this miku bundle does, but not all do. with this bundle, youre buying mikus v4x(plus english), piapro studio(not vocaloid) and cubaseLe. vocaloid does not need a daw to wrk but piapro studio does, as its a daw plugin that you can only access by opening a daw. if you want vocaloid you can buy it on vocaloids website. if you want vocaloid 1-5 (keep in mind that mikus v4 wont work in anything earlier tha v4) youll have to buy it secondhand from someone who already has a license since they arent sold anymore. if you dont want vocaloid and instead want to stick with piapro studio(whats bundled with miku) then again, yes you will need a daw. there is a daw bundled with that miku vb tho. do keep in mind that piapro studio only works with piapro characters (miku, rin, len, luka, kaito and meiko) so you wont be able to use other vbs like mayu or fukase nor will you be able to use ai vbs like kazehiki and gekiyaku.

to be clear, v6 comes with a daw, the v4x bundle you linked comes with a daw, secondhand vocaloid copies do not. you dont need a daw for vocaloid to work, but you will need one for piapro studio and vocaloidβ to work.

im struggling to find a place to buy miku without piapro studio and cubase, but if you want to get her alone, you can also try buying her secondhand! if you buy her bundle, youll be emailed with activation codes, if you dont want the daw; just dont download the daw and dont use the activation code for it. maybe you can gift it to someone else.

as mentioned before, youll get an email with download links and activation codes. when you want to switch computers, deactivate your product through the vocaloid authorizer(its easy, dont worry) and then download your product on your new computer. open the authorizer on your new computer and use those same activation codes.

By this, do you mean a certain website or buying a disk off eBay/Amazon? I don't wanna waste money and buy two of the same DAWS, unless they're free included with the Miku/vocaloid bundle.
The main reason I don't wanna get her V4x with the DAW is because I don't wanna waste money buying the product twice, because I figured the DAW added to her main price

By this, do you mean a certain website or buying a disk off eBay/Amazon? I don't wanna waste money and buy two of the same DAWS, unless they're free included with the Miku/vocaloid bundle.
The main reason I don't wanna get her V4x with the DAW is because I don't wanna waste money buying the product twice, because I figured the DAW added to her main price

okay so. when i say secondhand, you CAN get her disk from ebay (amazon doesnt do secondhand selling, everything you buy there is new), but you can also buy her download version secondhand too. youd need to do some research of your own because ive never done so myself but it is usually cheaper. some people also do trades if you have a synth already.

as far the daw issue, youre getting cubaseLe with miku and (potentially) cubase ai with vocaloid 6. if you buy just mikus bundle and use that then you will only have one copy of cubase. if you buy both you will have cubaseLe and cubase ai. you can always give away extra copies you dont want.

i cannot stress enough that the editor you will get with that miku v4x bundle is piapro studio, not vocaloid. if you want to use any voicebank that is not miku, rin, len, luka, kaito or meiko, you will have to buy vocaloid in addition! really sucks but thats how the crypton/yamaha split up went

maybe someone else here is more knowledgeable than me, i dont see another way for you to have that miku bundle plus vocaloid without ending up with two versions of the same daw.

Ah, thanks for clearing up the DAW issue, I might just research the two cubase's (since I was gonna buy vocaloid either way) and and decide which one I wanna keep, and sell the codes online somehow as long as it's legal hopefully

Actually, piapro studio v4x allows for other vocaloid vocals too. Only Piapro NT doesn't allow for other vocals, but miku's v4 comes with v4x and not nt. So if one buys say Gumi V4, you can use it in piapro too.

One of the reasons I wanna buy Vocaloid itself is to use the AI features should I get an AI voicebank (like Kazehiki/Gekiyaku) and to utilize the AI features of that. Especially if I decide to purchase Miku V6 AI in the future

Well, one cannot use V6 AI vocals in piapro unfortunately (at least at the moment, who knows they might release a piapro studio for v6x or something)
You can get Kazehiki and Gekiyaku bundled together with V6 though, might save some money if you want to get them in the future.
