I'm CyberneticCupcake, a newbie to the world of vocal synths but a long time fan of them.
I say that because my teenage and college years were spent knowing of Hatsune Miku and other Japanese Vocaloids + UTAU, but never understanding them beyond squeaky robotic J-pop.
Sad to say, it took the decidedly UNsqueaky Big Al to look into vocal synths far more seriously, not only because of their potential in music and sound production, but because the big guy can be quite the cutie when properly tuned.
For a lack of more handsome bass and baritone Vocaloids, I've decided to give UTAU a chance for the potential of tuning more voices and even engineering my own synth singers. Still, I'm brand new to this, so the program and its features scare me compared to Vocaloid; I hope I can make it through.
