OK so, let's begin:
Ruby will be moving forward with Artemi and I's design. Natasha Allegri's art will be featured on the box (bless her).
Follow up information:
Again, Syo and I knew there was another design in the works after a few months in development. We had accepted this, even though it was admittedly not what we wanted or thought was going to happen. Anders wanted to show us PFX's design, but never got permission from PFX to do so. The miscommunication from this lead to the entire AX debacle. I sincerely believe that Anders never intentionally fed us misleading information, what with the information he himself was working with at the time.
As for the accusations of whitewashing, it can really all be attributed to poor communication as well. There is no way Anders or PFX could have known that Ruby's skin choice in our early concepts were anything more then just a style choice. We never made it explicitly clear that Ruby was supposed to represent my ethnicity. We had thought our concepts would have made our preferred skin tone choice clear, but that was simply not enough. We would have hoped to have seen the other design sooner in order to tell PFX that Ruby's skintone should have been darker, but the chance never arose. For the accusations of whitewashing, I'll take responsibility.
