Overview
An easy-to-record 6-8 Mora CVVC English reclist configured in Arpabet, so it works perfectly with Moresampler! It contains all phonemes needed to synthesize clear English and works with the ARPAsing phonemizer while being 141 samples shorter than the default ARPAsing reclist.
The reclist is split into two sections- one for phonemes shared between Japanese and English and one for English-only phonemes. Technically you could get by just recording the first 26 lines and have a complete voicebank, but it wouldn't work with the phonemizer properly and you'd have to edit the phonemes manually, which is a pain. I cut one vowel (ax) and one consonant (th) because I thought they were unnecessary and they can easily be replaced with aa and dh.
Why use ARPAsing over VCCV or DELTA English? Well, for one, it's short while VCCV and DELTA can have thousands of samples, is compatible with Moresampler's auto-oto tool and has very easy-to-understand pronunciation. The default ARPAsing reclist is word-based, which I found difficult to use as some of the words were difficult to remember and weren't friendly to my accent, so I created this reclist for anyone having the same problem.
On the note of some complaints going around about the otoing process being confusing and tricky, this reclist eliminates it by simply being oto'd as a CVVC Japanese reclist would be. Heck, the first section of the reclist is almost the exact same as a Japanese reclist. For example, 'baa-biy-buw-beh-bow-bayb' is pronounced just like 'ba-bi-bu-be-bo-ba-i-b'. It's a dead-simple, quick way to create an English voicebank for beginners :D
Fun fact- the name ARPA-CVVC was born out of a joke that I would never create a voicebank that wasn't in CVVC format but I was also too dumb to understand DELTA or Salem's reclists.

Pronunciation guide here: https://arpasing.tubs.wtf/en/resources/phoneme-chart
You can record it at any tempo you want :3
The estimated recording time is 20 minutes, but expect it to take longer if you're a beginner.
Planned Additions
- dx phoneme
- X-SAMPA version
- LITE version with easier phonemes and an index.csv
Just comment if you would like any additions to the reclist or would like a reclist in another language!
