Their website actually has the changing room rules on the about page: http://www.bssbnyc.com/pages/about-us

Yesterday I went to the post office to pick up my socks :creepy: For reference on shipping, it got here Friday. Here's some crappy cell-phone pics:
This is the package that the socks were wrapped in. I didn't take a pic of the package it shipped in because it has my address on it.

When I opened it, I noticed there was a little spot/schmutz on the sock. It's difficult to see because of camera quality:

Me wearing the socks:

And finally, a shot of the little cherries on the socks ^-^

These are very cute socks! I was worried that because I'm petite they'd become thigh-highs on me, but they're great OTKs! There are some minor smudges on the socks. The cherries look a little fragile, so I don't know how they'll hold up in the wash yet. I am pleased :creepy: I shoved em into a plastic bag to keep them white.

The smudge on the sock makes me a little sad. I wonder if hand washing the socks will take the spot out. Or a tide to go stick...
I'm happy you like the socks though! Those are pretty cute!

Ah yes, thanks so much!! I'm super thankful for your generosity! The smudges look like they're just dirt; I think they'll be fine.

As for something regarding recent lolita fashion trends(because this is something I really want to talk about), AP's most recent prints have a more classic lolita feel this time around and they really stand out to me compared to their sweeter stuff! It's like a completely different style to me! For example:

Lucienne Dream: A print with a bird cage featured in it. I'm not a fan of how it was executed, but those lace gloves are beautiful...
Cameo Window: Little windows that show little buildings and stuff. I love this print. It's so pretty, beautiful, and old-fashioned looking! The wine colorway is especially wonderful!
Sweet Girl Room: This one I think could be used both ways for sweet and classic. Features girly furniture.
Loyal Rosette: I'm linking the homepage here for now because the print hasn't been released yet. It has a tartan print that seems to have a military look to it! This one looks pretty cool : )

What do you guys think of the prints? Most of them I like : )

Something like Wa lolita? You don't see it all too often in lolita because it can be hard to pull off, but it's out there : )

Ah I remember loving Lucienne Dream's Skirt in the brown coloraway~~~ I'm a nut for birds and find it adorable even if it's simple. And beige is one of my favorite colors.

And those socks are adorable! I'd just be careful washing them if you want to keep the cherries in good shape. I know pretty much all brand socks are machine washable but when I got some dirt on my IW socks from wearing them to a friend's I hand washed them with some other delicate stuff I hand wash. It doesn't feel like they'll last super long so take good care of them.

now to find a dry cleaning place though for my metamorphose knit that is dry clean only ugh

I just finished my college semester today (this past week has been horrific, 10-hour workdays and working on my final projects), I'll try my best to get the last few pictures I need tomorrow before work and put together a post on my LaceMarket and F+F stuff.

I remember hearing a lot about Wa Lolita when I first got into Lolita and was researching. But it doesn't seem to be very popular? Qi Lolita seems to even be bigger at the moment (I remember that Kidsyoyo or someone released an absolutely gorgeous Qi Lolita dress this summer, or maybe not Kidsyoyo can't remember) maybe because Taobao brands are in China hah.

But be careful with Wa-Lolita, it can very easily go ita, and make sure not to buy from Milanoo or it's subsidiaries. Even a Bodyline Wa-Lolita would be better, or FanPlusFriend has a couple but dunno how ita they are.

I think the accidental ita potential is why Wa lolita isn't all that common. I'm pretty sure everyone kept on making them too short or something, so they became more ita than lolita.

Also, not only you could look into kimonos, you can find yukata's as well, like this one: http://lolibrary.org/apparel/jewel-butterfly-yukata-summer-kimono
That one is more sweet in style, but I bet you can find a nice dress! Sometimes they combine a kimono look with a jsk too: http://lolibrary.org/apparel/kimono-print-high-waist-pinafore-jsk-2010 There's always the full out kimono look as well: http://lolibrary.org/apparel/scattered-bouquets-kimono-op-l053

Like with what shinami said, buy from places that are known to have decent quality lolita, like Bodyline, or maybe big brand if you have the cash to spend(especially for a prom dress!). Milanoo is known for having crap products, image stealing, and terrible service(they've been known to reply to emails YEARS after they've been sent!). And remember, have fun with it!

That is very pretty! A very pretty use of black and pink! It looks a little shiny material wise(not sure about the satin quality), and a bit cosplayish. (Unless you're going for that cosplay look, which is okay too, but not sure if that's something to go for for something as formal as prom). It's not bad in design, at least in the front. I'm not sure about in the back though: http://www.cosmates.jp/shop/images/products/fpf/CT00079N_5.jpg

I think I might recommend buying straight from the seller rather than a reseller(ex. buy straight from F+F instead of Cosmates) because resellers are basically a middle man that can make you spend more money! I hear that they overprice Bodyline items at Cosmates. While in cases with Taobao and stuff you'd need a shopping service, I'd advise to buy straight from the company whenever possible so you don't have to pay for jacked up prices, unless they offer a good deal : )

Judging by the pictures the fabric is a type of satin. While I can't remember the type of satin, it looks similar to a certain type of satin I know and if I'm correct, then you really don't want to wear something made of that material to prom. That material shows any and all mistakes and it looks bad really fast. Just rubbing against the wrong surface will leave a "gash" in it. (I wish I could show you using a piece I own, but I can't get to it.)

I don't know if the picture you linked is what you're wearing to prom, but if it is, or what you are wearing is the same material I would personally think it's a bit too costumey for prom. I don't want to tell you what to wear since it's your prom, but I honestly would recommend getting an actual dress, or something that's a little more toned down. You don't want to regret it later.

Ouch the back of that skirt is hideous. The obi bow covers it a bit but clearly that's where F+F went cheap.

If you're wanting one soon, I gave a glace at Bodyline and F+F's selection. Bodyline's…really aren't that great. The decent looking one Wendy linked isn't on the site right now. They look like the $40 they're worth. F+F has two pretty good looking ones (http://www.fanplusfriend.com/misty-jasmine-wa-lolita-kimono-yukata-6pcs-set-mint-white/ and http://www.fanplusfriend.com/wa-lolita-serene-hydrangea-blossom-dark-blue-kimono-yukata-set-5pcs/ in my opinion) but they're pretty pricey for around $150 and you could probably snatch up a used Brand piece for a better price.

Though I searched LaceMarket to see if I could find a current sale and found this. XD http://www.lacemarket.us/dreamy-kawaii-desu-bodyline-yukata/
(there are no sales there btw, maybe search closet child or other sale sites)

If you ever want some Milanoo horror stories, go though this blog. http://ohnomilanoo.tumblr.com I read every page, it's hilarious. XD

Oh god, I shouldn't underestimate the popularity of AP! Their Loyal Rosette series just released today and already many colorways(especially the red one) are sold out!

...I really shouldn't be surprised by this but daaaaaaang!

A lot of girls have been talking about it on Facebook for what feels like 2 weeks. They sat and planned for the release.

I bet buying newly released stuff from big brands online(or in real life) is like trying to buy SFCC tickets: everyone clicks the button at once and hopes that they get it. In fact, I've read that ordering Meta lucky packs is a very similar experience, especially since they ship overseas and it involves sending an email for the order!

I sometimes wonder if I should save up money for a lucky pack, since the end of the year is on it's way and they're usually a good deal(especially since you can resell or trade items you don't like). Maybe I could buy one in store, if I convince my parents to drive me all the way out to NYC(for a Baby one).

Sorry for the double post, and I know Venia knows this already, but yesterday I got the Bodyline order! ^-^ I ordered the items L482, L514, and L016.

I took a lot of pictures, but I'm not going to upload them all.

The Bodyline stuff arrived here safely and there was no damage. Like with a lot of Bodyline stuff, there tends to be a lot of loose threads everywhere that needs to be dusted off. All three items had detachable bows that clip on with a safety pin : )

With the blouse(L016), I need to say that I was quite impressed with the lace! It was so soft and pretty looking. The tie in the back helps it fit my waist better(not so much the bust, boobless me). I had some trouble figuring out where the buttons were at first XD It's a little short in the back, so I'm debating on whether I should tuck it in or leave it out.

The skirts fit well too. They look quite wonderful in person; I can see all the little details in the Bunny Cinderella skirt! They both use a similar lace, just in different colors. The L482's lace color matches the beige of the blouse! The bow for the L514 looks quite nice when attached to the blouse : )

And pics of the stuff worn. I was going to wear ivory tights(off brand), but I was so angry when I found out that they didn't fit at the crotch! At least I didn't pay full price since they were on sale. The shoes are random flats.

No petticoat yet, I am expecting one(and shoes!) : ) Yay!

I finally got my hands on Lost in Sea along with the headpiece and wrist cuffs! It's so nice! The material was not what I'd expected (this is a good thing) and didn't realize all the details that are a part of the dress until I got it!

I also got my classical puppets petticoat today and I honestly was very underwhelmed. The petticoat I've been using has a bit more poof to it not to mention the one I've been using feels like "stronger" material. To be 100% honest I kinda wish I hadn't bought it now, but I'll probably use it in the future. I will still give it a chance since it may be a bit deflated from the "super small," bag + box it was stuffed into.
