the best way to get a realistic voicebank from my experience is good oto configurations and clean recordings. with both of these, even a cv voicebank can sound incredibly realistic.

other things that can help to add realism after you have those down, could be having multipitches and multiexpressions to better replicate human singing.

Good voicebanks come from good recording, editing and cleaning. I'm very skeptical about terms "realistic" because every person have different preference. Tuning is also important but at the end of the day, multi-expression vcv is objectively superior, especially Japanese vcv.
